PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous aluminum sintered body having high porosity and efficient strength, a porous aluminum composite member, a manufacturing method of the porous aluminum sintered body and a manufacturing method of the porous aluminum composite member.SOLUTION: There is provided a porous aluminum sintered body by sintering a plurality of aluminum fibers consisting of pure aluminum and aluminum alloy and having diameter R in a range of 0.02 mm to 1.0 mm, a ratio L/R of length L and diameter R in a range of 4 to 2500. The porous aluminum sintered body has a composition containing Fe of 0.01 mass% to 3.00 mass%, Mg of 0.05 mass% to 15.00 mass% and the balance inevitable impurities and having apparent porosity of 50% to 90% and relative tensile strength Sr of 2.0 N/mmor more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
