PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-retardant electric-field-shielded crystalline thermoplastic resin molding which has chemical and heat resistances.SOLUTION: An electric-field-shielded crystalline thermoplastic resin molding is a molding of a crystalline thermoplastic resin composition containing a fire-retardant crystalline thermoplastic resin having a fire retardancy of V-1 or higher, based on the UL94 inflammability test with a test specimen of a thickness of 1.6 mm, and a carbide layer is formed on its surface by irradiation of electromagnetic waves. The carbide layer has a diffraction peak at a specified Bragg angle (2&thetas;) in the X-ray diffraction spectrum based on the wide-angle diffraction method. The molding has excellent shielding properties in a relatively low frequency zone and is light and thus suitable as an electric wave shielding material in transports, including automobiles, trains and aircrafts.
