PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating power generation capacity of a solar panel capable of easily estimating the presence or absence of the power generation capacity of a solar panel without measuring generated power or an open circuit voltage.SOLUTION: The method for estimating the power generation capacity of a solar panel 100 includes: irradiating solar panel in the dark with ultraviolet rays; when fluorescence is not uniform caused by the ultraviolet rays of the solar panel and the dark part is confirmed, making a length of a portion where there is no dark portion in a width direction perpendicular to an energization direction of the panel to be a power generation effective length to estimate power generation capacity of the solar panel from the power generation effective length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
