An aerial vehicle suitable for vertical takeoff and landing uses a set of thrust generating elements mounted on the wings and a set of rotating wings mounted on the tail for takeoff and landing. The aerial vehicle is adapted to take a vertical takeoff with the rotor blades rotating and in a take-off position, and then moving to a horizontal flight path with the rotor blades rotated to a typical horizontal configuration. Aerial vehicles use different configurations of rotor and propellers mounted on their wings to reduce drag in all flight modes. [Selection] Figure 81
