PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conveniently estimate application force based on image information on the tip of an elastic body without using a force sensor or a large-scale device.SOLUTION: A computer input device (10) comprises: an image acquisition part (11) which acquires an image of a contact part between a fingertip (100) and a sensor surface (110); an image processing part (12) which extracts contours of the image of the contact part and generates a contact surface image; an eccentricity calculation part (13) which calculates x eccentricity representing eccentricity of the contact surface image in an x direction of the sensor surface to be generated by variation of force to be applied to the fingertip in a state where the fingertip contacts the sensor surface; and an application force calculation part (14) which represents infinitesimal displacement of the fingertip in the x direction by the x eccentricity in a contact theory of Hertz, and calculates force in the x direction to be applied to the fingertip.
