PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide estimation device, method of multipath time delay, and a receiver.SOLUTION: Based on the mutual correlation value of a transmission signal and a reception signal, a time delay is divided into at least two sub-areas, and by estimating time delay for each path in each sub-area, resolution of time delay estimation can be enhanced. Furthermore, when estimating time delay for each path in each sub-area, impact of a strong path of other sub-area on the time delay estimation of each path of the current sub-area can be reduced by setting the mutual correlation value of other sub-area to a predetermined value, and time delay estimation accuracy of a weak path can be enhanced effectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
