PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for multimodal neurological evaluation.SOLUTION: A method of constructing classifiers for multimodal neurological evaluation is described. The method comprises the steps of: extracting quantitative features from a plurality of physiological and neurocognitive evaluations; and selecting a subset of features from the extracted pool of features to construct multimodal classifiers. A device for performing point-of-care multimodal neurological evaluation is also described. A signal processing device comprises a processor configured to obtain results of two or more different evaluations from a memory device, extract quantitative features from the results of the two or more evaluations, store the extracted features in a pool of selectable features, select a subset of features from the pool of selectable features to construct a classifier, and determine classification accuracy of the classifier by using the classifier to classify data records having a priori classification information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
