Wherein a medium speed diesel engine crankcase lubricating oil composition comprising: (a) a major amount of oil of lubricating viscosity; and (b) 0.15 to 2.0 weight percent silver lubricious boronated fatty acid ester addition Agent. Further provided is a method of reducing silver bearing wear and friction in a medium speed diesel engine comprising lubricating a medium speed diesel engine with the lubricating oil composition.
