PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel index to enable early identification of diabetic renal diseases, and a use thereof.SOLUTION: This invention provides a marker for identification of diabetic renal diseases comprising one compound, or a combination of two or more compounds, selected from the group consisting of creatinine, aspartic acid, γ-butyrobetaine, citrullination, symmetric dimethylarginine, kynurenine, azelaic acid and galactaric acid.
