PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method of a perspective and efficient phased array antenna, and to provide a phased array antenna designed by that design method, and a power transmission system.SOLUTION: A design method of a phased array antenna includes a step of obtaining a distribution of design magnetic field by synthesizing a plurality of spherical waves optimally according to th purpose, a step of obtaining an amplitude distribution and phase distribution in the cross-section of the design magnetic field, a step of obtaining an output electromagnetic field outputted from the phased array antenna, by inputting the amplitude distribution and phase distribution thereto, and a step of adjusting the configuration of the phased array antenna so that the distribution of output electromagnetic field approaches the distribution of design electromagnetic field.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
