Method of evaluating the effect of suppressing the appearance of dark-colored part of the skin by cosmetics

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate cosmetics' effect suppressing noticeable dark color parts while suppressing loss of visible light permeability.SOLUTION: An evaluation method for cosmetics' effect suppressing noticeable dark color parts of skin includes the steps of: (a) obtaining captured image of a surface in which cosmetics is applied; (b) conducting spatial frequency analysis of the captured image and obtaining an index value with regard to the effect based on the obtained analysis output; and (c) evaluating the effect based on the index value.
