PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic switch operation exercising system and a switch operation exercising method for teaching operation of an automatic switch controlled by a control device.SOLUTION: An automatic switch operation exercising system 10 is configured to exercise the operation of bringing an automatic switch which is provided for opening/closing a distribution line and of which the opening/closing is controlled by a control device, into closed state at all the time through operation of an arm part and returning the automatic switch to a controlled state by the control device through operation of the arm part after predetermined maintenance work is implemented. The automatic switch operation exercising system 10 comprises: a real machine 14 of the control device; a simulation electric circuit simulating an electric circuit within the automatic switch connected with the real machine; a display panel 12 capable of displaying image information; an electric pole indicated on the display panel as the image information, the automatic switch mounted on the electric pole, an arm part model simulating the arm part and disposed at a position corresponding to an image of the automatic switch on the display panel; and a suitability display section provided in the display panel for displaying whether the work required for returning to the controlled state is implemented through operation of the arm part model.
