PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video instruction display method and the like for enabling an operator of a terminal on the instructing side to select an appropriate reference marker for an instruction image displayed on a display of a terminal on the instructed side.SOLUTION: A video instruction display method includes: a first step in which a second terminal successively receives moving images imaged by a camera from a first terminal, displays the imaged moving image on a display, and makes a user select whether (reference 1) to use an existing reference marker image when the reference marker image is detected in the imaged moving image or (reference 2) to use all or part of an imaged image as a reference marker image; a second step in which the second terminal transmits an instruction image to be superposed and displayed on the imaged moving image, a relative position of the instruction image with respect to the reference marker image, and, in the case of the reference 2, the reference marker image, to the first terminal; and a third step in which the first terminal superposes the instruction image on a position corresponding to the relative position with respect to a reference marker image displayed on the imaged moving image, and displays the superposed image on a display.
