The invention provides a motor for a drain pump, the motor being excellent in assembling property and high in reliability and safety, thus causing no electric leakage or shock accident. The upper part of a housing (10) of the drain pump is equipped with a lower cover body (40) having a lid part (46), and the motor (100) is mounted in the upper part of the lower cover body. The motor (100) is composed of a stator assembly body (120) and a rotor assembly body (140) which are split and are combined by virtue of plugging a shaft (130) mounted in the stator assembly body (120) into bearings (150, 152) arranged inside a rotor center body (141) of the rotor assembly body (140).
