PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimple forming burnishing tool of an inexpensive and simple structure which can cleanly mold dimples on the outer peripheral surface of a workpiece.SOLUTION: A dimple forming burnishing tool 1 includes an inner peripheral surface tapered head 2, the inner part of which a hollow portion 2a is formed, and a frame 3 having an insertion hole 3a which is disposed in the hollow portion 2a and in which the workpiece W is inserted into an axial direction, a ball 4 which is rotatably supported by the frame 3, and a roller 5 which is rotatably supported by the frame 3. On the inner peripheral surface 2b of the head 2, at least one groove 2c is formed so as to protrude and retract the ball 4. The ball 4 and the roller 5 are disposed on the same circumference, and the roller 5 is disposed across the groove 2c in the axial direction. The workpiece W is inserted in the insertion hole 3a, and by rotating any one of the head 2, the frame 3, and the workpiece W, a dimple is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the workpiece W.
