PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume type photosensitive composition for hologram recording capable of obtaining, without reducing the hologram recording function, a hologram recording body that has a high transmission and a light resistance at which the hologram hardly degrades even when a high output laser is used.SOLUTION: The volume type photosensitive composition for hologram recording includes: a cyanine dye as a sensitization dye that absorbs hologram recording wavelength and can supply energy to a photopolymerization initiator by excitation; the photopolymerization initiator; a photopolymerizable compound; and a sulfonate-based acid generator that is inactive to hologram recording wavelength light irradiation and generates acid due to heat.
