PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pilot type valve element which releases a valve opening state of a pilot valve to close a valve when a manual operation part arrives at an operation ending position and is held, and can keep water supply amount supplied from a water supply channel substantially constant.SOLUTION: A pilot type valve element as the pilot type valve element which opens and closes a water supply channel includes a main valve seat, a main valve body which switches water stop state and water supply state, a pressure chamber, a pilot valve 86 which has a pilot valve pore part 84 for releasing a pressure in the pressure chamber and opens and closes the pilot valve pore part, a manual operation part which enables a user to perform manual operation from an operation starting position to an operation ending position and a pilot valve driving mechanism 80 which opens and closes the pilot valve in accordance with the position of the manual operation part. Therein, the pilot valve driving mechanism opens the pilot valve when the manual operation part is located on a middle position in the way in which the manual operation part is manually operated from the operation starting position to the operation ending position and closes the pilot valve when the manual operation part arrives at the operation ending position.
