The construction machine (1) comprises a drive unit (80), a control unit (60) for registering operation-specific data, and a cooling unit (3) comprising a fan (70) for producing a cooling airflow. The cooling unit comprises a controllable electric motor (90) that is functionally connected to the respective fan. The control unit regulates the electric output of the respective electric motor, in order to adjust the desired target rotational speed of the fan, based on specific operating data of the construction machine. An independent claim is included for a method for automatic regulation and control of cooling system of construction machine.
