PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating radioactive waste liquid, which enables removal efficiency of radionuclides contained in radioactive waste liquid to be further improved.SOLUTION: Radioactive waste liquid containing radionuclides such as ruthenium is supplied to each of adsorption towers 2A of an adsorption apparatus 2. Positive ions and negative ions of the radionuclides such as the ruthenium are removed at the corresponding adsorption towers 2A of the adsorption apparatus 2. The radioactive waste liquid containing neutral dissolved species of the radionuclides such as the ruthenium is supplied from the adsorption apparatus 2 to an adjustment tank 4. Ozone gas (an oxidizer) in an oxidizer tank 5 and a hydrochloric acid aqueous solution (a pH regulator) in a pH regulator tank 7 are infused into the radioactive waste liquid in the adjustment tank 4. By infusing the oxidizer and the pH regulator into the radioactive waste liquid, a part of the neutral dissolved species contained in the radioactive waste liquid are converted to positive ions and negative ions. The radioactive waste liquid in the adjustment tank 4 is led to an adsorption apparatus 10 and the positive ions and the negative ions of the radionuclides such as the ruthenium are removed at corresponding adsorption towers 10A.
