PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transport matrix of direct reflection light and indirect reflection light from camera response images as little as possible while avoiding complicated measurement work in projection mapping.SOLUTION: A spatial projection device includes: illumination pattern generation/projection means for projecting an illumination pattern on a subject; illumination pattern decoding means for generating a decoding table identifying a corresponding response pixel for each pixel of a camera from a background differential of an observation image observed by the camera; light transport matrix calculation means for calculating a light transport matrix by calculating a pixel of a projector corresponding to each camera pixel while using the decoding table; and pixel control means for controlling illumination pattern projection means so as to change a luminance value of the projector pixel on two stages and controlling the light transport matrix calculation means so as to calculate the light transport matrix corresponding to direct reflection and indirect reflection in accordance with change of the luminance value of the projector pixel on two stages.
