PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule capable of minimizing transmission loss caused by expansion and contraction of adhesive in an adhesive filling section.SOLUTION: A ferrule for holding ends of optical fibers 3 includes; a plurality of optical fiber holes 12 for inserting the optical fibers 3, the optical fiber holes being arrayed in a predetermined direction; and an adhesive filling section to be filled with adhesive 5, the adhesive filling section having therein an opening surface 14A with the plurality of optical fiber holes 12, and a counter surface 14b facing the opening surface 14A. The adhesive filling section has an upper opening 14C on an upper surface located on a side for injecting adhesive 5, and a lower opening 14D on a lower surface opposite the upper surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
