PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an analysis that facilitates estimation of a cause of an information code reading error which occurs or may occur.SOLUTION: When a bar code reader 3 receives a request to acquire information for analysis from a host device 2 for a reason that a bar code reading error occurs or for other reasons, the bar code reader 3 transmits imaging data, as information for analysis, which is formed by converting an analog signal obtained by imaging a bar code 4 into a digital signal before binarization processing. When receiving the imaging data from the bar code reader 3, the host device 2 displays a data waveform of the imaging data, binarized data to be obtained on the basis of the imaging data, decode information and analysis result information on a display part 21. The analysis of imaging data realizes estimation of a cause of the reading error without the need to acquire the bar code itself with the reading error occurring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
