PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present bass enhancement effects to a maximum while suppressing sound quality deterioration in middle and low sound ranges by weighting a harmonic tone signal in accordance with a level or a fluctuation amount of a low-frequency signal.SOLUTION: A low-frequency compensation device comprises: band dividing means 2 and 3 for band-dividing an input signal into a low-frequency signal and a high-frequency signal; harmonic tone signal generation means 4 for generating a first harmonic tone signal on the basis of the low-frequency signal; level detection signal generation means 5 for generating a level detection signal on the basis of a signal level of the low-frequency signal; level fluctuation amount detection means 6 for generating a level fluctuation amount detection signal indicating a level fluctuation amount of the low-frequency signal; multiplication means 7 for multiplying the first harmonic tone signal by the level detection signal and the level fluctuation amount detection signal to generate a second harmonic tone signal; and addition means 13 for adding the high-frequency signal, the low-frequency signal and the second harmonic tone signal to generate an output signal.
