In this method for producing jatropha seed oil by means of pressing, the objective is to achieve increased efficiency of the pressing by means of reducing oil loss and to simplify the production process. The method for cracking and pressing jatropha seeds is characterized in that the post-cracking seeds are subjected to primary selection in a manner so as to separate to the endosperm side mainly endosperm pieces that are comparatively large and a portion of the fruit skin, and to the fruit skin side mainly the fruit skin and comparatively small endosperm pieces, and furthermore the skin-side pulverization product is subjected to secondary selection, separating/eliminating the majority of the fruit skin, while admixing the excess pulverization product with the endosperm side and pressing the result.
