The marine land determination device determines whether the judgment target is underwater or on land. This apparatus has a detection member on which a specific image pattern is displayed, a camera, an image acquisition unit, and a determination unit. The camera is attached to the object to be judged and photographs the detection member at a first angle of view when in the water and with a second angle of view wider than the first angle of view when in the air to generate image data . The image acquisition unit acquires image data from the camera. The determination unit determines whether the determination target is on land or in water based on an image of a portion of the detection member that is included in the image indicated by the acquired image data and that changes in accordance with the angle of view of the camera.
