PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease of detection accuracy of an optical fiber sensor.SOLUTION: An optical fiber head attachment 30 has a main body 32 including a cylindrical part 34 which holds an optical element 31 and a fixed part 37 which is fixed to an optical fiber head 20. The main body 32 includes therein: a light block part 44 having a slit part 50 that allows a beam of light which is formed around an axial line of a beam of light projected from a projecting optical fiber 21A and blocks light excepting the light passing through the slit part 50; and a tapered part 42 having a slope in which the distances from the axial line at an identical position in an axial line direction of the light projected from the projecting optical fiber 21A are identical to each other, and the distances from the axial line get larger in a direction opposite to a progression direction of the projected light. The tapered part 42 has an aperture positioned at the opposite side in the progression direction of the projected light, which is formed at a size that a light receiving optical fiber 21B can receive a beam of light reflected by a detection object. The optical element 31 is disposed at the progression direction side of the light projected to the tapered part 42.
