PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesis image creation assist device and method capable of assisting creation of a synthesis image easily, by using not only an image group held by a user, but also images held by another user.SOLUTION: An other user image group extraction section 12 extracts an image group of another user belonging to the same group as a target user on the basis of SNS registration information, a second candidate image selection section 13 selects at least one second candidate image which is suitable for a synthesis image from the extracted image group of another user, and a use image determination section 14 determines use images which are used for the synthesis image from a plurality of first candidate images and the second candidate images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
