PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal configured to present relevant information which effectively represents the content of message exchange, to a user in an application which exchanges messages in a non-synchronous manner.SOLUTION: A communication terminal 1 includes a receiving unit 11 receiving an input of a message to be transmitted; a history DB 22 which stores the message received; a determination unit 13 which determines a relevant information acquisition condition for acquiring information related to the message; an acquisition unit 12 which acquires a predetermined number of determination messages including the message to be transmitted; a transmission unit 14 which acquires relevant information corresponding to the relevant information acquisition condition determined on the determination message, and transmits display data for displaying the relevant information to a terminal of the other user together with the message to be transmitted; a receiving unit 15 which receives the message and the display data from the terminal of the other user; and a display control unit 16 which displays the relevant information based on the display data, in association with the message received.
