PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method where, without damaging a water-soluble functional component such as pinitol, the functional component is easily extracted from a halophilous plant at a low cost, and also, desalination is performed.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for obtaining a desalinated sugar alcohol concentrated extract from a halophilous plant, and, a halophilous raw material is thermally extracted with a polar organic solvent to obtain an extract.
