PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly light an illumination device again in the case that the illumination device is extinguished regardless of that a human exists in a detection region of a human body detection sensor while suppressing consumption of a battery of the human body detection sensor, in: the human detection device having a wireless communication function; and an illumination control system including the human detection device and an illumination control device.SOLUTION: A human detection device comprises: a human body detection sensor 11 detecting that a human exists in a detection region; a brightness sensor 16 detecting brightness of a predetermined region; a human detection determination part 12A outputting a human detection signal at a first period time while determining that a human exists in the detection region; a wireless communication part 13 for transmitting a communication signal including the human detection signal to an illumination control device 2; and a brightness/darkness determination part 12B comparing an output of the brightness sensor 16 with a brightness/darkness determination threshold to determine brightness/darkness at a second period time, the second period being equal to or less than the first period. When the darkness is determined as a result of the brightness/darkness determination by the brightness/darkness determination part 12B, the human detection determination part 12A outputs the human detection signal independently of a lapse time from when the human detection signal is outputted the last time.
