Provided are a fiber for artificial hair having a shape memory and a shape restoring function, a fiber for artificial hair having excellent flammability, and a fiber for artificial hair having a low gloss appearance. According to this invention, the fiber for artificial hair which consists of a resin composition containing at least 1 sort (s) of polyamide and has at least 1 structure of the following (1)-(3) is provided. (1) The elastic modulus of the fiber is 2400 to 3000 N / mm2. (2) The weight average molecular weight Mw of the polyamide is 65,000 to 150,000, and the elastic modulus of the fiber is 500 to 15000 N / mm 2. (3) The elastic modulus of the fiber is 500 to 15000 N / mm2, and the resin composition contains 5 to 20 parts by mass of fine particles with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyamide.
