PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial nest box for nest building in which woodpeckers can dig a nest by themselves only by mounting the artificial nest box on a tree when there is no suitable tree capable of digging a nest for nest building, an environment of the nest building can be set up, and acquisition and work of nesting sites can be facilitated.;SOLUTION: An artificial nest box is characterized by: raising a height to a width and a depth; forming the height of a position of a nest at a portion of about a half degree of the height of the nest box; filling a wadding material 12 such as sawdust and wood chips fixed in some hardness with adhesives in a nest box 1; and mounting a front plate so as to be openable or removable with respect to a nest box front surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
