The present invention relates to a meg recovery process which includes the step of increasing above 2,000 ppm the concentration of the divalent metal salts of a (rich) megastructure feed stream flowing into a precipitator. the augmentation step includes directing an air stream from the salts saturated meg from the discharge separator to the precipitator. the air stream may be mixed with a fresh water feed stream, a portion of the megano feed stream or some combination of the two. The meganoid feed stream may also be divided into two streams, with one portion of the stream being heated and routed to the discharge separator and the other portion being combined as above with the removed air stream. The process may be performed in the air stream after dilution and prior to precipitator entry or after loading into the precipitator. Removal of insoluble salts may be in a batch or continuous mode.
