Method of control of the loss espdntu00e2nea heat in a cavity open new method for the control of spontaneous thermal losses in a cavity open to the vertical wall heated is proposed through the insertion of a solid block of square cross section.The variation of the size of the block generates different rates of heat transfer, which can be estimated graphically or by a correlation. The results are available for a wide range of Rayleigh number and surface emissivity.
