The invention relates to neuroprotective, antioxidant steroidal nitrones to which the blood-brain barrier is highly permeable, as potential drugs for the treatment of a cerebral stroke or ischaemia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
