Abstract of the patent for: "Transition body between tower sections of a wind power station and the tower of a wind power station comprising a transition body". a transition body (6, 6 ') is shown and described for arrangement between an upper tower section (5) and a lower tower section (4) of a tower (1) for a wind power station (2), with an essentially annular upper connecting flange for joining the transition body (6) to an upper tower section (5) and with at least three essentially annular lower connecting flanges for joining an angled leg (3) of a section lower tower (4), wherein the transition body (6, 6 ') has several segments (16, 16') arranged around a center tower geometry, where the number of segments (16, 16 ') ) corresponds to the number of angled legs (3), wherein the upper sections of the segments (16, 16 ') outside the transition body (6, 6') form an annular circumferential connecting envelope (17) carrying the flange upper connecting sections and where the lower sections of the segments (16, 16 ') form circular segment envelopes ring bearings (19) carrying a lower connection flange. In order to decrease assembly expense and improve power flow without resulting in a disproportionate increase in transportation expense, the transition body is provided in which upper segment envelopes (19) pass into each other in an acute angle in inwardly pointing sections.
