A process for producing vehicle wheel tires, comprising covering the outer surface of an expandable chamber (9) for tire vulcanization of molding apparatus having a substantially crosslinkable polysiloxane composition, is disclosed which composition contains at least a cyclic polysiloxane as solvent, and subsequent crosslinking of the composition is performed at least three times. Also described is a process for treating an expandable chamber (9) as well as the expandable chamber (9) for tire vulcanization and molding apparatus thus treated.
