"tear lipocalin muteins". The present invention relates to novel tear lipocalin-derived muteins or a homologue thereof. Specifically, the invention relates to a human tear mutein. The invention also relates to a corresponding nucleic acid molecule encoding such a mutein and a process for its generation. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a mutein. Finally, the invention is directed to a pharmaceutical composition comprising such lipocalin mutein as well as to the various uses of mutein.
