The transparent mould for repeated precision casting, made of a composite material, where an optically clear and transparent thermoset polymer resin is used as the matrix (6) and optically clear and transparent glass fibres are used as the reinforcement (7), when the difference of the values of the refractive index of light of the polymer matrix (6) and the reinforcement (7), which the composite material (5) of the mould consists of, is nearing zero.
