An IS type glass machine for manufacturing bottles is described. The glass machine provided with a new cooling system of the blow station comprising a blow mould having a pair of oppositely arranged half parts (2) of the mould, wherein each of them has a contact surface, the outer surface (3), the upper surface (4), and the bottom surface (12). The half parts (2) of the mould are movably arranged in a machine cycle between the closed position, in which the contact surfaces are in a mutual contact with one another and form a mould cavity in which the flask is blown into the bottle shape, and the open position. In each of these half parts (2) of the mould, there is arranged a vertical system of the cooling passages (10, 14, 17, 18) having the upper end on the upper mould surface (4), and the lower end on the bottom mould surface (12), while, in the outer surface (3) of each half part (2) of the mould, there are defined the open means (16, 104, 204) communicating with at least part of the vertical system of the cooling passages (14,114) in the position between the upper surface (4) and the bottom surface (12). At the end of the system of the cooling passages (10,14,17,18), there are connected the means for supplying the cooling air in the closed position of the half part (2) of the mould, while these means are assigned in any position between the closed mould position and the open mould position towards the open means (16).
