The invention relates to a trap for placement in the bottom part of a well in a sewage system, the trap comprising of a killing device and height adjustment means connected to the killing device, the height adjustment means enabling the killing device to follow an increasing water level in the well. The height adjustment means may comprise a floatation device provided below the killing device. A wire may be provided securing the killing device to the sewage system structure and furthermore stabilizing device(s) may be provided and adapted to stabilize horizontal and/or vertical movement of the killing device and the floatation device.
