The invention is related to the field of development of attractant means for attracting blood-sucking insects and other insects, and can be used for trapping insects in open spaces near residential and public buildings for subsequent destruction. Provided is an attractant for blood-sucking insects in the form of an aerosol produced by passing carbon dioxide flow through a liquid medium containing at least one substance having attracting activity and included in composition of at least one biological fluid selected from a group including at least urine and/or blood of a warm-blooded animal. The attractant, in terms of its composition and the way of release to the atmosphere, is to the maximum possible extent similar to air exhaled by warm-blooded animals, and imitates, at the same time, composition of both exhaled air and perspiration. The attractant is simple in production and use, it includes available ingredients, has a higher effectiveness as compared to other attractants known from the prior art, is completely safe for humans and contains substances with attractive activity in the amount that cannot be detected by people organoleptically, so it does not cause any discomfort when sprayed.
