METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC REGULATION OF OIL-WATER INTERFACE LEVEL

The invention is related to regulation of an oil-water interface level in the process of dynamic settling of oil emulsion, and can be used in oil-producing and oil-processing industry. The method comprises measurement of hydraulic pressure difference between the upper and the lower parts of the settling tank, flow rate and water content of oil emulsion and drain water discharged from the settling tank, and residual water content of dewatered oil. On the basis of measurement results, a regulator setting correction index is calculated. A system implementing the method regulates automatically, promptly and precisely enough, the oil-water interface level in the process of dynamic settling of oil emulsion to provide preset quality of commercial oil.
