DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF DITMCO ADAPTER HARNESS amp; DEVELOPMENT OF DITMCO AUTOMATIC TEST PROGRAMS (BOEING IDS F/A-18 AIRCRAFT EFG VARIANTS WIRE HARNESS)

Abstract DITMCO is an automatic wiring analyzer used to verify continuity, insulation/resistance & hi-pot tests on cable assemblies, electrical panels & fully equipped aircraft. HAL is using the DITMCO wiring analyzer for testing the Hawk electrical panels & the fully equipped HAWK fuselage. The tests on HAWK are carried out using the link cables i.e. Adapter harnesses and DITMCO test programs provided by M/s. BAES. HAL has further utilized this automatic testing technology and has extended it to testing of the F/A-18 EFG Variants cable assemblies manufactured and supplied by HAL to M/s Boeing IDS, St. Louis. HAL has designed & manufactured its own adapter harnesses for linking the cable assemblies to the DITMCO machine. HAL has also developed its own test programs for checking the cable assemblies on the DITMCO machine.
