SIDE STAND BASED ACCIDENTS AVOIDING AND ENGINE ACTIVATE AND DEACTIVATE SYSTEM

This invention controls the start and stop of the vehicles engine by detecting the position of the side stand. The side stand position detector (SSPD) and engine control (EC) unit consists of a mechanical switch plunger to detect the side stand position and electromagnetic switches to control the engine. Once the vehicles ignition switch (key) is on, if the side stand is open, the SSPD and EC unitwill block the ignition connection and prevents the engine start (Refer Figl). If the side stand is closed, the same SSPD and EC unit unblocks the ignition and the Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) connection. Then the SSPD and EC unit will start the starter motor through the CDI .Once the engine is started, this unit will stop the starter motor (Refer Fig: 01). This life saver project provides solution to the side stand based accidents in two wheelers at minimal cost. This SSPD and EC unit can be used in all two wheelers (refer Fig: 02 for implementation details).
