A NOVEL ANTACID HERBAL ORAL POWDER FORMULATION

The present invention discloses a novel oral herbal powder composition for the prevention, relief and treatment of acidity. The herbal preparation comprises powdered bark of Glycyrrhiza glabra (Mulethi), seeds of Foeniculum vulgare (Saunf) and fruit of Phyllanthus emblica (Amla) mixed individually in equal ratios by weight. The optimal dosage of the powdered composition is 5-10 grams (1 tablespoon), twice a day before meals. If taken on regular basis before meals, it can prevent acidity and also help in effective relief and treatment of acidity. The ingredients are useful dietary ingredients and no harmful effect is observed even if the composition is taken for several months.
