POLYACRYLONITRILE BASED FLAME RETARDANT COMPOSITION, FIBERS OR FILMS, PROCESS OF PREPARATION AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF

The present disclosure provides a flame retardant composition comprising: polyacrylonitrile (PAN); polyphosphazene (PPZ); and glycerol. The present disclosure also provides a nanofibers/fibers or films comprising polyacrylonitrile (PAN); polyphosphazene (PPZ); and glycerol.Further, the present disclosure provides a process of preparation of composition. Moreover, the present disclosure provides a process of spinning the flame retardant composition to obtain flame retardant fibers or films. The flame retardant fibers of the present disclosure have various industrial and medicinal applications.
