AUTOMATED TESTING OF WEB BASED APPLICATIONS ON MULTIPLE TEST ENVIRONMENTS

A method and a system for testing a software application using a test automation framework are provided. The method configures a functional repository including a plurality of reusable test scenarios. The method then configures one or more test cases associated with the plurality of reusable test scenarios. The method also configures one or more test data files. The method further accesses one or more test environments. Then method then identifies execution sequence of the one or more test cases from the functional repository. Further, the method executes the one or more test cases on each of the one or more test environments based on the execution sequence identified from the functional repository.
