The present subject matter discloses system 102 and method for generating an alert about one or more speed-breakers appearing on a path of a vehicle. The system 102 comprises various modules like receiving module 210, a configuring module 212, and a generating module 214. The receiving module 210 may receive information about a path between a source and a destination in an area. Further, the information comprises details pertaining to one or more speed-breakers present on the path. Further, the configuring module 212 may configure a map of the area with the information about the path such that the one or more speed-breakers are indicated by one or more marks on the map. Further, the generating module 214 may generate an alert regarding the one or more speed-breakers marked on the map. The alerts are generated when the vehicle is at pre-defined distance from the one or more speed breakers.
