At present, clay is grinded in traditional ball mill having heavy weight stone lining on inner side walls of a cylinder which require electric motors of more horse power to drive it. Similarly a traditional pot mill is driven by separate electric motor which increases cost of a set of ball mill and a pot mill To overcome said limitations An energy efficient ball mill cum pot mill is proposed which comprises of V shaped frame which carries a ball mill fixed on one arm of V frame and a pot mill fixed on another arm while a common electric moto with a speed reduction countershaft is fixed at bottom of V frame to drive a ball mill and pot mill simultaneously, light weight FRP lining is provided on inner walls of a cylinder and its lid. Thus a set of ball mill and a pot mill is portable, light in weight, economical in initial cost and in running cost and downsizing technology affordable to purchase by potters.
